Operating Lease Commitment for Alanya Gazipasa Airport Has Been Signed
Operating lease commitment between the
state-run department for aviation and the worldwide operating turkish
company TAV for the airport Gazipasa is finally signed. Airport, which
was built 10 years ago and vacant since this time will put in operation
finally. Since August 31. 2007, when the tender procedure turned out
for TAV and the 30 days period was excessed without any effect wild
guesses growed all over whether airport will be opened or not.
„Our goal is the international air traffic

of TAV, Dr. M. Sani Sener told the press, the goal for Gazipasa was the
international air traffic. „We developed a 5-years-strategic plan for a
so called „boutique airport“. Those project we created also in other
coutries successful so we can say this strategy will be effective also
for Alanya-Gazipasa.“ The airport has a capacity right now for 500 000
travellers with a terminal of 2 144 m2 and a parking capacity for 105
vehicles. TAV Holding operates Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, the
national and international terminals in Adnan Menderes Airport of
Izmir, airports of Tiflis and Batum in Georgia and the airports Enfidha
Zine Abidine Ben Ali and Monastir Habib Boruguiba in Tunisia.
